Covid Kicked My A** But I‘m Okay!

Apparently, the good Lord knew I needed to disappear for a bit and stop working and he also knew that I wouldn't just pick up myself and disappear for a few works.

So he sent Covid for me to ensure that I took a much-needed vacation from the interwebs lol.

Folks, I have been gone for a few weeks because I ended up getting Covid and it kicked my ass for 10+ days.

I am however on the mend, at the time of making this episode I'd safely say that I am at about 80% and thankfully no hospitalization was needed.

I just wanted to talk a little about my experience and dive into why you haven't seen me since the beginning of the month.

I encourage everybody to continue doing their due diligence, sanitize, build your immune systems and keep safe during these Covid times.

Is It Time For Caribbean Businesses To Ween Themselves Off Instagram?

If you are a Caribbean-based business then nobody needs to educate you on how frustrating it has become to use Instagram to build your business.

You follow all the gurus, the experts, hire coaches and then begin to realize that all of the things they are teaching you in order to grow your brand exponentially are with tools or features that are not available in the Caribbean region.

8 Marketing & Branding Lessons I‘ve Learned From Battle Rap & Boxing

In Ep 41, I dive into marketing and branding lessons that I learned from watching a battle rap interview and the boxing match between Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder.

What really stuck out for me was the content business model, the importance of your own platforms in order to have more control over key elements in your business, that talent isn't enough to win and that ultimately building a brand surrounding your talent is the key to digital success.

I watch Battle Rap and Boxing for my own escapism this weekend and I ended up having to pull out the notepad to take down some really good lessons.

The InKnowvation Series By Flow Business

Flow Business & BTC have come together to put forward a really good month-long series to help Caribbean businesses out in a big way.

I decided to dive into what the series is all about because I believe it's going to be one of the better and more important series of events for Caribbean Businesses this year.

How I Hit Over 30kusd Profit In 1 Month

This was 5 years in the making but the month of Sept allowed me to hit my highest month in profit within my business.

I was able to hit over 30kusd with my ecosystem of products & services.

One of the best things I did during this journey is learning how to monetize your content and scale your business through digital products & services.

When I started off my business Droid Island, I learned real quick that with a brick and mortar store, there are just so many costs associated with running it and any disruption in the value chain can throw off your costs or delivery times to your consumers.

While I know we have people on Linkedin making a heck of a lot more lol...we all have to start somewhere and I'm glad to have hit this milestone in the middle of this pandemic.
