Society Forgets Those Who Play It Safe...Especially In Business!

In 2022, I had to get to a place mentally where I could give myself permission to no longer play it safe within my brand & industry.

Playing it safe in your business, being politically correct, and fitting in, will have you undervalued, broke or meeting the bare minimum and most of all, your brand will not stand out from the noisy digital world.

The business community plays it safe in the Caribbean, and nobody wants to step on anybody's toes. Still, we have become complacent & accepted mediocrity in all aspects of our society because of that.

The thing is, nobody gets remembered for playing it safe and our industries don't grow when we aren't pushed by those who are willing to take risks.

In this episode, I dive into my morning thoughts and some lessons I've learned this year as I have pushed myself to get out of my comfort zone and no longer ride the fence for the sake of being politically correct.

The Breeze Bacchanal Recap

In marketing, the one thing you can never plan for is virality. You never know what piece of content will go Viral or how it will go Viral.

This weekend, I dropped 2 videos recapping an event where Unilever/Breeze held an upscale event to launch their new detergent, invited influencers and I gave my opinions on it.

That turned into a slew of response videos from the TikTokers towards me and people chiming in with their thoughts. Breeze then trended all weekend long lol.

How I Hit Over 10k Followers On TikTok in 2 Months

I'm sure by now you have heard about the generous organic reach happening on the TikTok platform and how some people are experiencing viral growth. However, that isn't happening for everybody!

I decided to double down on TikTok at the start of February and cracked the 10k following mark before we finished March. This episode dives into what I did to grow my following and engagement on TikTok with predominantly business-related content.

In the Caribbean, our business owners love to entice with their amazing products and services, only to then hit you with the DM for price.

Listen, in 2022...The last thing any customer or potential client wants to do is to DM you for a price.

There is no excuse anymore. We don't DM for prices on Amazon, nor do we DM for prices on Freelance platforms when we are looking to hire professional services.
